Decorating Your Apartment for Fall

The temps are getting cooler and summer is clearly  behind us, so why not decorate your Woodland Hills apartment for fall (or Thanksgiving).  Here are some easy do it yourself decorating ideas.

Squash Vases

Fall produce includes squash, pumpkins and gourds, bring them into your home décor for an easy and affordable fall decoration.    Hollow out pumpkins or squash (make sure that the squash can stand up straight before purchasing), using a small vase or floral Styrofoam arrange flowers into the “vase” and place on dining table, shelf or end table.

Mason Jar Chandeliers

Mason jars are a great way to decorate on a budget.  Create beautiful arrangements by drilling a hole into the top of a mason jar.  Purchase natural string; thread the string through the drilled hole and tie a note.  Fill the jars with dried leaves or fall inspired potpourri, pine cones or other floral inspired decorations.  Tie several mason jars together and hang from a hook placed in your ceiling.

Candle Stick Deocrations

An easy way to bring fall into any room is to purchase small pumpkins, pine cones or gourds and replace candles from candle sticks with these items.
