Treating your Dad for Father’s Day doesn’t have to mean breaking the bank, here are some simple and affordable ideas for this Father’s Day.
Take Dad on a Trip Down Memory Lane – if you are lucky enough to have your father live nearby; treat him to an activity that you loved to do as a kid. Maybe it is fishing, or hiking or a visit to the movie or a special day that you spent with your Dad. Make a card with a note about your memories and invite him to share them again with you. If your father is not nearby arrange a phone call or skype call and spend some time reminiscing.
- Cook Dad’s Favorite Meal – Invite Dad over to your Woodland Hills apartment and cook his favorite meal, reminisce about dinner time in your home. If grilling suits your cooking style, use one of the grills at the Reserve at Warner Center and grill up some summer time favorites.
- Make New Memories and Traditions – Invite Dad to brunch or a picnic. Rent bikes and visit the beach.
- Write a Letter – Even in this day of email, texts and Instagram posts everyone loves a letter. Write a letter (handwriting is more personal) include notes and memories of your favorite childhood memories and include pictures and updates on your lives. Dad will love it.
No matter what you do, Father’s Day is a great day to let your Dad know how special he is.
