Woodland Hills Thanksgiving: Try A Parmesan Mashed Potato Recipe

Mashed potatoes and cheese go together like a perfect marriage of two foods. If you would like to add a twist to your Thanksgiving side dishes, we have a tasty and simple to execute recipe for parmesan mashed potatoes that everyone must try.

Ingredients
3 pounds of red potatoes

1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup of sour cream

1 tablespoon of kosher salt
1 1/2 cups of half-and-half
1/4 pound of butter
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper

Boil the potatoes along with 1 tablespoon salt in a large pot with cold water. Once the water begins to boil, cook for another 30 minutes or until the potatoes are soft and tender. In a separate pan melt the half-and-half and butter.
 

Break up the cooked potatoes by hand or by using a mixer or food processor. Next slowly mix in the cream substance into the potatoes and lightly whisk. Now fold in the sour cream, cheese and salt and pepper. You can add in more cream if the potatoes come out too too thick.
